FAQs
Can I just hire SML to drive my moving truck for me?

Normally, no. We do not offer a “driver only” service, and our insurance prohibits us from allowing our ProMove crews to drive a customer’s rental truck. We do, however, offer a full-service option whereby we provide the truck, driver, and a loading and unloading crew.

What moving supplies do I need to provide?

We recommend that you have lightweight rope or twine for the movers to use to tie down your items in your truck. We also recommend shrink wrap and at least 24 blankets per room to protect your furniture.

Can the crews help me pack? Where do I get packing supplies?

Most of our customers choose to save money by packing their belongings themselves, however our ProMover crews are more than happy to pack your belongings for you, on the clock. None of our crews bring packing supplies with them. You can purchase quality, affordable packing supplies online from our packing supplies center, and we’ll ship them straight to your front door. Shipping is FREE for orders over $25.

What if I have to cancel or postpone my move?

If you need to cancel your move, we need at least 72 hours notice in order to be able to fully refund your deposit. If you need to postpone or change the date or time of your move, we ask that you let us know as soon as possible – at a minimum three (3) hours before your move is set to begin, and we’ll work hard to accommodate any changes free of charge.
